| Description | Stand With Congo is a global campaign organizing actions and amplifying human stories from the heart of the Congolese peace movement. Launched in the Spring of 2016 to achieve transparency in Congo mining, Stand With Congo has evolved to stand in solidarity with the many leaders throughout Congo working towards peace and development—including human rights leaders, conservationists, and the youth movement. By sharing the stories of Congolese activists and leaders, Stand With Congo unites people around the globe to promote human rights. The campaign organizes activist constituents in the Democratic Republic of Congo and 16 other countries to push for transparency in the extractive industries; supports Congolese people in calling for a democratic transition of power; and advocates for policy decisions that will bring greater peace and prosperity to all Congolese—not just an elite few.
